Here we go again. The Tolkien estate and his son and daughter are suing to halt production of “The Hobbit.” Apparently they are owed $220 million (their assertion) and want the money and the rights returned to the Tolkien Estate. I can’t imagine the the $3 billion dollars the other LOTR movies [...]
First they had it, then they didn’t. Apparently when people bought Orwell’s 1984, they didn’t read the fine print. Amazon played a little big brother and remotely deleted the book from users’ Kindle’s when they were unable to settle the rights issues. Full Story
